Supporting your doctor to focus even more on you
We know that visiting the doctor can sometimes feel stressful, and new technology can raise questions. That’s why we want to let you know about a helpful new tool your GP will soon be using, known as a ‘scribe’
What is a scribe?
Supporting your doctor to focus even more on you A scribe listens to the medical parts of your chat with the doctor and turns them into clear, secure notes. This means your GP can give you their full attention, knowing your care details are recorded accurately. Don’t worry, only information that’s relevant to your health is captured
Will anything change for me?
No, your appointment will feel just like usual. The technology supports your GP quietly in the background; you may not even notice it’s there.
Is my information safe?
Absolutely. Your privacy is extremely important to us. Our new ‘scribe’ follows all UK data protection laws, including GDPR. Your personal information remains secure and confidential at all times. Is my information safe? If you’re not comfortable with the use of a Scribe during your appointment, let the GP know and ask them not to use it
What if I don’t want the GP to use the tool?
If you’re not comfortable with the use of a Scribe during your appointment, let the GP know and ask them not to use it.
If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to a member of our practice team.
We’re here to help.
